Sometimes accidents happen and you need to come in to have your dental emergency treated without waiting for an appointment. Of course, if you or your loved one has an injury to the head or neck, please see your family doctor or go to the ER before calling us. When you call our office at (469) 362-3150 for emergency dental care, we will do everything we can to see you as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, we will give you directions on caring for your mouth before you are seen by our dentist, Dr. Paresh B. Patel in Frisco, Texas.

What Constitutes a Dental Emergency?

  • Swollen gums or abscessed tooth
  • Severe tooth pain
  • Pain in the sinuses from your teeth
  • A lost dental filling, crown, etc.
  • Damage to the soft oral tissue in the mouth
  • A broken, cracked, chipped or partially or fully knocked-out tooth

Temporary Care Until You Come In

Depending on your oral injury, we may recommend GENTLY rinsing with warm salt water, applying gauze to the injury to stop bleeding, using an ice pack or cold compress for swelling, taking an over-the-counter or topical pain reliever (just no aspirin directly onto the hurting tooth or gums), or placing a knocked-out tooth back into the socket or in a tooth-preserving solution, milk or your saliva until you come in.

At Family Dentistry of Frisco, we welcome our patients who are experiencing a dental emergency to call us to come in without waiting for your next scheduled appointment. Dr. Patel and our team are ready to help you with your dental emergency in Frisco, Texas, and for urgent care on Saturdays.
