Dr. Paresh B. Patel has provided instructions for what to do after you receive a filling. Please follow these instructions, as they will help you maximize the benefits of your treatment. If you have any questions or to make an appointment with our dentist in Frisco, Texas, call us today at (469) 362-3150.
- Please be careful while you’re numb. Do not drink alcohol or hot liquids while you are numb. Please be aware that you could be numb up to several hours. When you are numb you will not have pressure and temperature sensation, so we want to make sure that you do not burn your mouth or chew the inside of your cheek and injure yourself.
- Take Ibuprofen or another pain reliever for five days. Know that post-op sensitivity is completely normal when a filling has been done. If sensitivity lasts longer than a week we would like to recheck your bite now that you are not numb or laying down. At times the filling material can be too high and needs to be adjusted for the sensitivity to go away.
- Please call us if sensitivity lasts more than five days.
