The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people the world over, including dental practices right here at home. At Family Dentistry of Frisco, we are taking the necessary precautions to make sure you get the dental care you need in Frisco, Texas as safely as possible. We make sure that the office is cleaned meticulously, we wear protective equipment (PPE) and limit elective treatments.

We want to make sure you get the dental treatment you need if you have a dental emergency and to make sure your dental issues don’t worsen.

Don’t Ignore a Dental Emergency

If you find yourself with bleeding, pain, swelling, sudden sensitivity to sweets or hot or cold drinks, a fractured or broken tooth, tooth displacement or a knocked-out tooth, we are here to help! If you bite your tongue or lip and the bite is large or is bleeding heavily and simply won’t stop, you want to be seen immediately.

For example, swelling around your jawline or under your mouth along with having difficulty breathing or swallowing may indicate a bacterial infection on the floor of the mouth, under the tongue, which can happen after a tooth abscess.

Don’t ignore broken teeth or broken dental restorations like dentures, bridges or tooth implants as this can impact how they function and your way of life (eating, speaking, etc.). Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team during these challenging times should you or a loved one have a dental emergency. If you have any questions or concerns about your oral health, we welcome you to give us a call at (469) 362-3150. We are here for your family during this global pandemic.
